Wardrobe refashion 06

Wardrobe refashion is a blog project I came across to recycle/renovate ones wardrobe or handcraft your own clothes. If you are keen you can take the pledge to abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 2 / 4 / 6 months. If I had a sewing machine I would consider it - my wardrobe definitely needs renovating!

Wow - what an amazing site. I never have been good at sewing clothes that fit (can do it to pattern, but patterns don't usually fit my body shape). T-shirt printing is a great idea for all those plain t-shirts I've acquired over the years. Must find somewhere/somehow to do it. Oooh - and I could have fun with dying baby clothes with stains on them....

I am a tie dying queen (which isn't hard coz lets face it it's pretty easy) and quite keen to stencil tees. I love the website angel, and think that modifying is all the go. Or Risa - sewing around something that you already have that does fit? What about an 'accessory swap' endeavour, to jazz up the things we already have?.. any excuse to not buy new for 6 months.

Yeah.... Don't have sewing machine at present, so not really an option. There is one being stored for me in a garage somewhere in Adelaide, so when we move somewhere with a bit more room, I might be able to have it sent over. THEN I can start sewing with gusto! Might start with kiddies or dolls clothes
